STEM Women

Google+ Hangout with Erin Kane

We’re kicking off a series profiling individual women in our STEM Women on G+  page. Join us this Saturday 8th December as we feature Erin Kane who is a graduate student pursuing a PhD in primatology.

We will have a G+ Hangout on Air with Buddhini Samarasinghe and Rajini Rao, where we ask Erin questions about her project on Diana monkeys in Cote d’Ivoire. We will also find out what led her to choose this particular field along with the influences and mentors that helped make it happen.

Don’t worry if you missed #deSTEMber first STEM Women on G+ chat with Erin Kane. Click Continue Reading below to watch the Hangout!

ChromaCandy

Candy Chromatography

Do you only eat the red, brown, or green M&Ms®? Brainstorm the dye colors needed to create your favorite candy color. By using a method called chromatography, you can separate the dyes used in different colors. Girlstart wants to know what color you would create and which dyes would be needed.
