You’re the veterinarian in Girlstart’s Animal Clinic. Examine the secrets vets use to help your furry friends, big and small. Design your own 3D pet toy prototype and program a computer simulation to save the animals.

Girlstart needs your help to crack the case! Collect the clues and test the evidence in the Girlstart crime lab. Reconstruct the scene using virtual 3D design and discover how forensics solves the mystery.

Scrub In

Put on your scrubs, pull back your hair, and get ready to scrub in! Program a virtual medical simulation and create a 3D skeleton model. Uncover the mysteries of your organs, build the popular operation board game, and more- the perfect prescription for fun.

The full price is now $300 per camp. Early registration (with a $50 discount) begins the week of January 2nd.

I’m excited that Girlstart is offering another Water Works Camp this summer for entering 9th-10th grade girls! Last week, Didey, the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator for the Women in Engineering Program from The University of Texas, Laura, the Program Coordinator for the National Girls Collaborative Project, and I had the pleasure of training 31 Informal Educators from across Texas in the Water Works curriculum. This summer Informal Camps from El Paso to Amarillo to Austin to Laredo and cities in-between will host week-long camps showcasing how creative engineering can be.
