Austin, TX: Hot Science – Cool Talks @ UT Campus

Hot Science – Cool Talks provides a front row seat to world-class research. Presented by the Environmental Science Institute (ESI), this nationally recognized series allows leading researchers from The University of Texas and other prominent universities to share their passion about science, technology, engineering and math with the general public. Events are held six times a year (on-campus or virtually).

Cool Activities take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. The talk is from 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. including a Q & A session.

Connect, shop, and witness the unveiling of Austin’s newest mural produced by Texas Artist Ruben Esquivel and the team at East End Eclectic, a custom piece inspired by the future of the community we imagine and how it comes to life in human-centric moments. Visitors can also learn more about Delta’s commitment to the communities where employees and customers live, work, and serve.

Activity: Amazing Birds – Have you ever noticed the similarities and differences between birds’ wings and an airplane? Explore the adaptations that help birds fly and investigate the wingspans of an albatross, falcon, and vulture. Determine how a bird’s wingspan affects flight and see how long you it can soar!
