Priya Ramachandran

Priya serves as a Senior Director of Engineering at NI. She leads a global engineering organization responsible for the research, development, and lifecycle management of products, serving the Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense industries. She has experience and expertise in building organizations that invest in long-term innovation, continuously deliver customer value, and thrive in a climate of increasing business uncertainties. She is responsible for key innovation projects and industry partnerships to drive technology advancement and increase product differentiation. Priya strives to create a growth-mindset environment where teams challenge assumptions, take risks, experiment, learn, and adapt. Her strengths and experience in technology advancement, engineering management, strategic planning, and customer-centric value creation enable her to lead engineering organizations that deliver highly differentiated products.

Priya has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. She started her career in product development and over her career has built strengths in program management, people management, operations, and change management. She is passionate about encouraging girls to pursue STEM careers and growing women leaders in STEM.  She loves volunteering for FIRST Robotics, and she serves on the National Board of Directors for Girlstart, a nonprofit focused on increasing K-12 girls’ engagement in STEM.
