Maria Reyes

Maria is Girlstart’s California Program Coordinator. In this role, she facilitates the After School and Summer Camp programs in regions of the California Bay Area. Maria’s passion for science led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology at San Francisco State University. Maria has an extensive background in teaching and mentoring as well as in public health, and firmly believes that women belong in STEM. While she wants to pursue a career in medicine in the future, Maria is thrilled to support Girlstart’s mission of empowering girls through STEM. When not working, you can find Maria spending time with her friends, reading articles online, and learning new skills.
