This summer, Girlstart used Makeblock drones to help our campers learn to code! Girls used drag and drop programming to navigate their hovercraft “animal transport drones” to relocate wild animals. In our Ready, Set, Rescue camp girls programmed “disaster drones” to fly to specific targets as part of a rescue mission.
Makeblock drones are easy to program using block-based programming by downloading the Makeblock app. They can be configured as an aircraft, hovercraft, car, or spinner, and are great tools for learning about aerodynamics and utilizing critical thinking skills!

*Girlstart has no affiliation with Makeblock; we just think it is cool technology to get kids excited about coding!
