Iguanas From Above

December 11, 2022

Marine Iguanas need your help! Help count Galapagos Marine Iguanas from aerial photographs so we can save these awesome animals from extinction!

Marine iguanas are threatened by invasive species, pollution, and climate change. Scientists are collecting the first good comprehensive population size estimates for this endangered species. To do this, they use drones to collect images of the Galapagos coastlines. From these images, they will count the iguanas to estimate their number in different locations. From these estimates, scientists can make a solid plan to protect them. And by helping them count iguanas, you are directly contributing to saving this awesome species!
