Meet Carrie Grant!

Carrie Grant is a chemical engineer, wife, mom, and breast cancer survivor. Her curiosity about engineering began at an early age when she would bake with her mom and grandma. Carrie enjoyed the process of putting things together to create something different. Math and science were her favorite subjects in school, and she was encouraged by her high school chemistry teacher to pursue an engineering degree in college. Carrie graduated with a degree in chemical engineering and a minor in mathematics from Washington State University. In her 21 years in the energy industry, Carrie has held a variety of positions from field engineer working to improve production in oil wells to a motor vehicle safety advisor that influences policy, strategy, and programs to improve driving behaviors. Carrie’s ability to understand the big picture and work with others to create changes are skills she hopes to impart upon younger women to spark their interest in the field of engineering.
