Nature Nights are free, family-friendly events filled with exciting explorations of native plants, animals and the ecology of Central Texas. Each evening features interactive presentations, hikes with experts in their fields, and nature crafting for kids of all ages.

Amazing Birds: Explore the adaptations that help birds fly and investigate the wingspans of an albatross, falcon, and vulture. Determine how a bird’s wingspan affects flight and design an Amazing Bird glider that will remain in flight for as long as possible.

Connect with Texas nature, wildlife, and art at this special “Wild Texas” themed Homeschool Day! Explore regional geography, the life science of plants and animals, and how to explore nature as we feature our new special exhibition Art of Texas State Parks. This exhibition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Texas State Park System through works of art that highlight the diversity of the landscape of Texas. Drop in anytime between 10 AM to 2 PM to participate in activities with Girlstart!

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Activities are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state.
