Featuring Inuit Star Lore Shows
Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! Starry Nights are held the first Thursday of every month (except January, June, July, and August), with each month featuring a new astronomy experience and related hands-on activities. All ages are welcome to stop by any time between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. RSVP is recommended, however it is not required, to join us.
Reminder: Chaperones are required. Adults must stay with their children throughout the event.
Hands-on activities include:
Make Inuit snow goggles
Explore polar bear adaptations
Engineer a vibrating scribble bot
Design a light up holiday circuit card

Featuring Native American Mythology Star Shows
Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! – Design a UV bracelet as you explore solar energy
– Use mini color-coded robots to discover Native American constellations
– Channel your inner meteorologist and make your own unique rain stick
– Investigate and create secret codes like Navajo Code Talkers
