Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! Starry Nights are held the first Thursday of every month and each event features a new astronomy experience and related hands-on activities. Family members of all ages and genders are welcome!

This year, Austin ISD will not be hosting a districtwide back-to-school bash in August. Instead, each campus will host its own individual events to welcome families and students back to the classroom. In September, Austin ISD is hosting the 2nd annual district-wide Showcase on Saturday, September 23, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Palmer Events Center.
This large-scale event will look like a combination of the Bash and the School Fairs, and will include external community partners as exhibitors, in-person services, internal departments, all schools, student performances and interactive activities. Join Girlstart for hands-on STEM fun!
