Austin, TX: STEM Girl Day @ UT

Elementary and middle school students, families, and educators are invited to join us for FREE hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fun on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. til 4:00 p.m. CT on The University of Texas at Austin campus.  (Traduzca esta pagina.)

UT Austin’s national award-winning STEM Girl Day, presented by Women in STEM (WiSTEM) in the Division on Diversity and Community Engagement, gives K-8th graders a chance to explore STEM through grade-appropriate, hands-on activities hosted by scientists, engineers, astronomers, mathematicians and other STEM enthusiasts from student organizations, research centers, corporate partners and community organizations. All genders are welcome!

First Free Sunday @ The Bullock

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Activities are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state.

This month, celebrate Black History Month with storytelling, crafts and hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Land on the moon with Girlstart! In honor of Katherine Johnson, the mathematician who helped Apollo 11 land on the moon, design and build a shock-absorbing moon lander that will protect two “astronauts” from crashing when they land.

 

Dallas ISD STEM Expo

The Dallas ISD STEM Expo is open to ALL Dallas area families! Come experience over 100 hands-on STEM exhibits and the Dallas ISD STEM championships in mathematics, science, robotics, technology, and bridge building!

Elementary, middle, and high school students and parents will participate with field experts, community members, educators, industry partners, and STEM organizations in a broad range of high-quality STEM experiences that spark awareness and raise interest in STEM topics, careers, and degrees.
