Smitha Purohit

Smitha Purohit is deeply passionate about girls’ education in STEM. Growing up in India, she witnessed firsthand how STEM education can uplift communities and create transformative opportunities. She has been a dedicated supporter of Girlstart since 2022, advocating for greater access to STEM learning for young girls.

Currently, Smitha is a Senior Director leading PayPal’s Crypto products. She has diverse experience spanning software development, management consulting in organizational change, technical program management, and product leadership. She has worked across global markets, including Singapore, India, and the United States.

Smitha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the Indian School of Business. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and is currently learning to play the piano.
